A global organization, Toastmasters International strives to help members improve their communication and public-speaking skills. The organization’s newest program, Pathways Learning Experience, is designed to let participants personalize their journey toward professional development.
The program is comprised of 10 paths with more than 300 competencies. Paths include dynamic leadership, effective coaching, persuasive influence, presentation mastery, strategic relationships, and visionary communication.
The paths can be accessed online through Base Camp, a learning management system. Before accessing the paths, participants will first complete an individualized assessment of their abilities, after which the system will recommend three paths that best match their responses. However, participants are free to select any paths they're interested in. In the course of the program, participants will hone their communication and leadership skills, give speeches in groups, refine their competencies, and improve their persuasion, motivation, and problem-solving skills.
